Description
The Montana Board of Crime Control (MBCC) is soliciting proposals to implement Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training Programs in Montana. The application process is competitive. Approximately $976,436 in State funding will be available during a two-year (24 month) project period, depending upon Legislative allocations. Additional State funds may become available for future projects. This funding release will have a 24 month time period. However, applicants are allowed to request a shorter time frame for their award periods. If all the grant funds are not awarded out in this award release, another CIT funding opportunity will be released during the 24 month time frame. However, if all of the funds are awarded out, there will not be another MBCC CIT funding opportunity released until March/April of 2026.

Eligible applicants are limited to local governments, tribal governments, non-profit law enforcement organizations, and non-profit organizations. Awards to local governments, tribal governments, non-profit law enforcement organizations and non-profit organizations will be provided based on MCA 44-7-110 requirements.
